Additions & ADUs

Architects Planning a House

Expanding your home requires more than just building space, it requires thoughtful integration with what already exists. We design and build additions and ADUs that feel cohesive with the original structure, planned for how you actually live, and built to a consistent standard from foundation to finish. Every aspect is defined in advance so the build phase runs with clarity and control.

How we bring your addition to life

Every addition we design is different, but the process behind a successful build shouldn't feel chaotic or unclear.

At Atlas Design & Build, we follow a structured, design-first approach that keeps everything organized, intentional, and aligned with how you want your home to function once the project is complete.

In-home design consultation

Everything starts with a conversation, in your space.

We walk through your home and the area you're looking to expand into, to understand what's working, what's not, and what you want this new space to become. Just as important as the look is how the addition integrates with the rest of the house.

We'll talk through things like:

  • how you use your home now

  • how the addition needs to function day to day

  • what's missing or limiting in the existing layout

  • whether it's a primary suite, in-law unit, ADU, or expanded living area

This is relaxed, collaborative, and focused on getting clarity before anything is designed.

Concept & layout design

Using what we learn, we begin shaping your new addition.

You'll be presented with thoughtfully designed layout options that improve flow, structure, and overall feel. Depending on the project, we'll walk you through:

  • layout plans

  • visual concepts

  • material direction

  • overall design vision

This is where your addition starts to take real shape, and where we refine it together.

Get in Touch

If you're considering a project, the best place to start is a conversation. We'll walk your space, talk through what's working and what isn't, and outline what the work could look like — clearly, and without pressure. Reach out to schedule a consultation and we'll take it from there.
